Pakistani police say a roadside bomb has hit a vehicle
carrying members of an anti-Taliban militia, killing seven militiamen in the
country's restive northwest.
Authorities say at least nine others were wounded in Thursday's blast in the tribal region of Orakzai, bordering Afghanistan.
No one has claimed responsibility for the blast.
Earlier Thursday in the city of Bannu, also in the northwest, five suicide bombers attacked a police station. A police spokesman says three of the attackers died when they detonated their explosives, while police shot the other two to death. One police officer was wounded in the incident.
