Fukushima Nuclear Plant Badly Damaged after
Japan Earthquake
Since Saturday, there have been hydrogen explosions at three of the four reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
And now, there's been a fire at the remaining reactor.
Japan's Prime Minister says radiation levels are high, and implores people to evacuate immediately.
[Naoto Kan, Japanese Prime Minister]:
"There is a mounting fear that there will be more leaks. So once again, I would like to reiterate that the areas around the Fukushima Daiichi plant -most people have already been evacuated from the 20 km radius - but we reiterate people need to leave this area."
Elsewhere in the country, the enormity of the disaster slowly becomes apparent.
One worker in Otsuchi stands amidst a sea of debris.
Last Friday's 9.0 magnitude earthquake and tsunami flattened entire cities, towns and villages along the northeastern coastal regions.
More than ten thousand people are expected to have died.
