Abe’s visit will become the first time in 36 years of a Japanese Prime Minister to visit Myanmar after Prime Minister Takeo Fukuda’s in 1977.
He will meet again with pro-democracy Aung San Suu Kyi who visited Japan last month.
Japan canceled the debts of Myanmar in view of the government's reforms in political and economic sectors.
Japan’s economy is improving in Abe’s era and its stock market value has been up about 40% since last November.
Abe will introduce Myanmar entrepreneurs to his businessmen.
