Nuclear Radiation Concern for Many in Japan
Following Earthquake

Heavy machinery moving in… trying to get heavy debris out.
In Miagyi prefecture in Japan, one of the worst hit regions from Friday's earthquake and tsunami, residents continue searching for loved ones... rescuers just starting out on the long road to recovery.
[Hanji Hasegawara, Kesennuma Firefighter]:
"I think it will get back to how it was, but it will take a few years. For instance, after Great Hanshin Quake, they were back on their feet in 2-3 years. But to get here, there's a chain of disasters on the way from Tokyo up to the Tohoku region here."
Besides the incredible damage left by the earthquake and tsunami, Japan is also dealing with another pressing matter-one of it's ailing nuclear plants.
Since Saturday, there have been four explosions at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
Fears of a radiation leak are real and officials have been warning residents to evacuate or stay indoors.
The latest reports suggest the situation could be improving.
[Yukio Edano, Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary]:
"Of course, I think I should take the radiation levels seriously, but it (the high levels) was temporary at that moment, and it is coming down, so I am relieved."
Still, residents are not taking any chances... one of Japan's international airports was swarming with people trying to leave.
