PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Applications to fill a vacancy on the Traffic Tribunal are being accepted, a courts spokesman announced Friday.
The deadline to submit an application has been tentatively announced as March 1.
The vacancy follows the retirement last month of Albert R. Ciullo, who had served as an associate judge in the state Traffic Court for more than 19 years.
Chief Justice Paul A. Suttell will make the appointment based on a recommendation from a five-member selection committee. Appointed to the panel were: Traffic Tribunal Chief Magistrate William R. Guglietta; Girard R. Visconti, a lawyer and former chairman of the Judicial Nominating Commission; state police Col. Steven G. O'Donnell; lawyer Richard S. Humphrey, and D. Faye Sanders, a lobbyist who served on the Judicial Nominating Commission.
